To Determine The Sex Of The Child - How It Works

The most common way to find the sex of their unborn baby is by ultrasound in approximately 18 weeks. But what if you want to know before? There are few medical options and are not without risk.

Two tests used to detect chromosome abnormalities, amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling (CVS). A sample of amniotic fluid or villi were taken by inserting a needle into the uterus, guided by ultrasound, so the baby and placenta are not affected. The risk of miscarriage increases with these tests. Tests can be done from 8 weeks and 11 weeks.

Some parents are just curious to know the sex of their unborn children, but prefer one or the other. Other parents want to stop for a surprise. But other parents have a clear preference for this type of child.

If you have a special preference for the sex of their child, many parents are not medical procedures that can guarantee high accuracy the sex of the child. These procedures are not 100% accurate, however, and often very expensive and may increase the risks associated with pregnancy.

Such procedures include MicroSorting sperm before artificial insemination and pre-implantation genetic diagnosis, in which the embryo is removed and tested, and returned to the uterus, where is the sex right. MicroSorting has a success rate of about 91% of girls and 73% of boys.

For those who require design methods for the production and the fetus implants, unfortunately, some parents terminate the pregnancy if the child's sex is not your preference. This raises ethical questions about whether this should be allowed. In some countries parents are not allowed for medical reasons to choose the sex of their child at all. This is due to ethical considerations.

For those who want to try to influence the sex of their child naturally, there are many methods to try. Natural methods usually involve special diets, sexual attitudes and the timing of intercourse, or a combination of all these factors. Some of the most popular natural methods to choose baby's sex is the Shettles method (only 39% accuracy worse than not to follow any method), J. Martin Young, the MD method (67% accuracy) and the method Alicia Pennington (requiring 94% accuracy). Unfortunately, there are no methods that are 100% accurate.

For more information, a thorough examination of all the natural way, see my review here. This method is very detailed and combine all the (natural) factors mentioned above.
